The #generativeai revolution

When we were children, we turned to our parents and friends for answers, or to help solve problems.

If the question was something technical like "What is a hurricane?",

we used to consult the Encyclopedia or a dictionary that contains definitions and explanations of thousands of words.

The search tool was basic,

but anything more advanced was simply unavailable.

Over time, #google became the main search engine for everything and anything—so much so that we often say "I'll just Google it" when looking up information.

If you want to know which restaurant is best in New York

or how to say hello in Japanese,

or when Avatar 3 is going to be released [scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024, if you really want to know],

you just ask Google and get an answer.

However, the #generativeai revolution has now rewritten the rules of almost every game,

introducing new kinds of applications that can do things never before possible.

And it scares the hell out of me [as much as it is fascinating].

Because there's no way to stay on top of it all. 🙄

People worry that machines will take over and do the jobs of humans better than they can.

This is probably true; it'll happen this way or another.

Can we resist the change? no!

Can we ignore it? no!

Can we stop it? no!

The world has changed.

And we're not going back.

Our job is to adapt, embrace the change, keep what is good for us and create a safe, responsible and stable reality for all of us. For our sake and for the sake of the next generations.

If you want to lead organizational change, and excellence interests you, you're welcome to contact me. I'll do my best [with a little help of my friend, AI copilot :) ]
