Many times I tell my clients: “You have to go outside and meet new people. Communicate!”
When I say that, I mean two things:
The first thing:
Reach out to new contacts and create an authentic atmosphere. It means talking to people, introducing yourself and listening to others.
The second thing:
Go out to conferences and meetups. This way you have the ability to learn new things and meet new people.
This is exactly why I go myself to conferences and meetups.
I know, it takes time to get there, It’s the end of the workday and all of us are tired, but still it’s so important.
It helps you step out of your comfort zone and gain perspective on professions, organizations, and technologies.
Building a strong brand is communicating your brand with others.
It’s not enough to be professional – you have to let others know that your expertise can be a great value for them.
